Newmarket Racing Partnership is working with organisations from the town and accross West Suffolk, to develop a community project encouraging safe and prosperous local night time economies. The West Suffolk SOS Bus project aims to launch a pilot service in Newmarket this year. Newmarket has a vibrant night time economy with visitors coming to enjoy the nightlife and racing. But as in communities across the UK, issues can arise that could be helped through neutral and practical assistance. The Primary purpose of the SOS Bus project would be to offer immediate and non-judgmental assistance to people at risk along the High Street. Providing first aid, advice and help to vulnerable people out at the weekend in Newmarket. In 2001 the first SOS Bus project started in Norwich, after two teenagers were found dead following a night out in the city. Working with emergency services, support agencies, pubs and clubs, other UK towns and cities have adopted the SOS Bus project, most recently Belfast. For
